Captain - Stanley Victor, Crisp

Marriage photograph of Stanley Victor and Winifred Annie, Crisp in 1937. They only had two years together before war broke out so they did not have much of a married life

My father was killed in Hoven Wood (Near Tripsrath), but perhaps you know this already.  He was in the process of discussing the current situation with his Commanding Officer when he was hit;  his CO was wounded but lived.  At that time, my father was an Acting Major but died before this could be formalised.  My father had dark hair and dark brown eyes both of which I inherited, my mother having dark hair but green eyes. He was 5'11" tall.  My daughter has inherited my father's teeth as we realised a couple of years ago when we were looking at a close-up photograph of my father and Emma said, "Look Mum, I have got his teeth" and she was right, and yet mine are totally different
